Tre anni sono tanti per rispondere a una lettera, e la Sua giace inevasa da più tempo. Speravo che la risposta sarebbe venuta da sola, o che qualcun altro rispondesse per me; invece, ecco lì la lettera, con la domanda “Cosa secondo Lei, si deve fare per prevenire la guerra?”, che attende ancora una risposta.

Three years is a long time to leave a letter unanswered, and your letter has been lying without an answer even longer than that.
